The taxi driver misunderstand “What can we buy?” He replies “You can even walk…near”
(He was trying to say it’s near, you can even walk) That’s how he took “What can we buy?”
‘S’pore’ has a lot actually, but you were probably too caught up with your poor ‘engrish’ to “fucking” read the papers. Or the very least a bit of history books to realise that Singapore never developed the same way the chinese and japs did.
Oh, and do learn to read properly =) He never ‘dissed’ the japs in his comment.
And i would say that, at the very least, Singapore is over-achieving.
Besides, you were all ignoring the counter-arguments made by k0pio. Does speaking informal English necessary equate to the absolute need of using it in formal situations?
What makes you think ‘ugly’ is for you to define anyway? One person’s trash is another’s gem. Oh, but you’ll overlook this again anyway =)

that’s true, that many french and italians can’t even match the english spoken by high school students in china, there is no argument about that. it is awful to travel to these places. ich selber rede auch mandarin, deutsch, und sogar blutige schwizerdütsch:(. liebe gruss aus der schweiz:).
